Hey everyone! This month’s issue onwards will be split into its respective sections. I figured this would make each issue shorter and easier to read — especially for sections populated with external links.

When was the last time you did something not because it’s going to show up on your resume, not because it meets that condition of worth you’re wrestling with, but just because you enjoyed it? (source)
Celebrity worship. It has become more prominent with the media showing us every detail of the lives of public figures and profiting off the obsessed audience of these celebrities. They consistently report and follow up on small incidents that don’t matter. And sometimes, these even get more spotlight than important news and events around the world that impacts lives on a larger scale. When an admired figure does something wrong, they’re either hated on or excused, defended, and forgiven by (hopefully) loving fans. What excuses have we given to defend the celebrities we love?
Without going through the lack of it, what is something you can be thankful for right now?
I no longer believe in the notion of ‘doing what you love and never working another day in your life’. It might work for some, but I’ve realised it to not be true for me. Doing what you love as your job takes away the liberty to do the same thing you love upon demand and done a certain way. It might take away creative freedom or be done in ways you disapprove of. It requires and prioritises a brief, the wants and needs of someone else (clients/customers). It especially takes away the elements of doing what you love the way you love, and when you want to. It will feel like work, because it turns into something you have to do, even if you’d rather do something else at the moment. It takes away a hobby and something you fall back to destress. It now becomes a major source of stress since your livelihood depends on it.
If you don’t take a break, your body will eventually give in and make you.
